Section 1 - Turbocharge your Authenticity

We’ll kick off the conference with a keynote speech from Laura Brunton, Founder & CEO Totally You Coaching & Consultancy.

Moving on to Organisational authenticity – can it be real or is it always fake? Our panel of experts will address this question and more. We seem to care about authenticity a lot these days. When it comes to our work, our leaders, our experiences, even our products, we increasingly value what’s real, genuine, or true.

But how do people respond to authenticity when they see it? Do they pay more for it? Do they review it positively? Will employees leave a well-paid job to find something more genuine elsewhere?

We’ll discuss what people mean when they call an organisation authentic, how to make it real and not fake, and the important role communicators play in supporting this mission.

Our panellists include Charles Tattersall, Chief Executive of Citypress, Dilpreet Sagoo, Director of Communications at the London Stock Exchange Group, and Christine Crofts, Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Consultant.

Finally, to close off this first part of the conference, we will break into an interactive workshop on Practical Purposefulness: how to transform purpose from talk to action - and spot Fake Purpose. Andy Green, a co-founder of the Dublin Conversations, will help you discover the significance of confidence and purposefulness at the heart of social interactions, and how authenticity creates confidence and greater purpose.

This workshop will help inspire greater confidence, self-belief and sagacity to turbocharge your work and career!

Section 2 - Turbocharge your Resilience

Following a break, we’ll come back together to hear from Executive & Personal Coach Kate Matrunola, who will take us through a resilience bootcamp.

Kate will be talking about the resilience she needed to display as a female senior executive in a male-dominated industry and one of the world’s largest multinationals. She will give practical examples of the ways she managed to adopt and maintain resilience in some of the most stressful situations and periods of her twenty year career – especially in her role as Global Head of Communications for a FTSE top ten organisation.

She will discuss the pressures that come with being communications professionals on the front-line – often dealing with the most serious issues faced by an organisation and key decision makers in a crisis – and the resilience needed to not only survive these moments but to navigate complex political landscapes and to thrive in your career.

Her current role as an executive coach sees her helping her clients, at all levels, to deal with these pressure in order to become more resilient. She will highlight some of the tactics she works with them on to foster resilience; become more self-aware; and maintain composure whilst still remaining authentic and true to your values and sense of purpose.

Section 3 - Turbocharge your Career

And finally, since the pandemic, many of us have been reflecting on what we want from our professional life, and how to feel more fulfilled at work. In fact, some might say we’re going through The Great Reflection rather than The Great Resignation.

In rapid-fire style, our four expert recruiters will each have 5minutes to present to you "The one thing recruiters wish you knew". They will then gather on stage to answer your questions about the future of comms careers.

Our panellists include Andy Macleod, Director at Comma Partners, Graham Seldon, Founder of Seldon Rosser, Vicki Marinker, Founding Partner & Corporate Communications Recruiter at Comms Leaders, and Lucy Cairncross, Managing Director at VMAGROUP.

Networking drinks

Our conference will conclude with some celebratory drinks and nibbles, because after all let’s not forget that the main benefit of these events is seeing each other and meeting new people! Join us on a beautiful sunset terrace in the heart of London as we celebrate our first in-person conference since before the pandemic.

Together we can turbocharge our connections, make new friends and advance the communications profession.
